Implementing IPTV and Internet Channel Reuse Using the VLAN Binding Function of the Optical Modem

Background In a new network environment, the wireless AP is located in a metal weak current box, resulting in poor signal strength. The network port in the living room is connected to the IPTV interface of the optical modem with only one line, which cannot carry internet services. This is clearly a problem caused by not adequately planning during the renovation, leaving only one line. How can we move the wireless access point from the weak current box to the living room without running additional cables while ensuring that the normal internet needs of the entire house are not affected?

Introduction The history of home broadband, from ADSL, FTTB to FTTH, spans sixteen years. Initially, my parents used an ADSL modem connected to the phone line for dial-up internet. Around 2009, our building switched to FTTB. At some point, we also had EPON ODN access. During the summer of 2018, when I planned to upgrade our 50M broadband to 100M, I underwent my first optical modification. In March 2021, I learned that gigabit home broadband was becoming popular and inquired with my ISP, only to find out that our connection was still EPON and not suitable for gigabit infrastructure.
